The End I haven't updated in forever, so this blog is pretty much dead. It's largely due to a busy schedule, and a loss of interest in keeping this thing updated. and of course the usual lazyness when I do have free time. Those of you who did read my blog know everything that's going on with me anyway, so writing it all seems rather futile right now! So this is a sad goodbye to my little space on the net.... maybe one day I will decide to restart a blog, but for now I don't feel the need to write down what I'm up to. I was debating whether I should keep all previous posts or delete them, but I decided I should keep them here as ultimately I may want to re-read them in the future, and it is doing no harm to anyone keeping them here. K-li

Discoveries........ 10 things K-li has discovered this week; 1. The new smartie tubes are useless at keeping smarties in them 2. Colin Firth is hot in a wet shirt 3. She likes children 4. She quite likes tomatos in small amounts 5. Housework can be fun 6. Having no free time for about a month means that when you finally get some you aren't used to it so do revision 7. Italian people eat a lot 8. Biochemistry is almost interesting (note the almost) 9. The sandwich shop makes AMAZING egg mayo and salad baguettes 10. The structure of the Parinfluenza 5 F protein in it's prefusion, metastable conformation is significant for fusion with the host cell, and the understanding of this is important for many medical reasons

Raaaaaaaaa hello! Sarah told me off for not updating... so here you go!!! Before I start the woffle; *****We are doing a sponsored run in September in memory of my friends little sister, to raise money for CRY. I will get hold of some sponsorship forms soon.***** Exams finished on Tuesday (thank god!) which I don't think went amazingly well but I managed to write something for each question so that’s a start right? We are now doing another module which looks like it is going to be a total bitch... 'Protein Science'... I hate proteins. And science. Not good! Ah well, we survived PE, and possibly PB, so I'm sure we can all survive this! Have I talked about my Easter on here? I don't think so.... hmm.... ok here goes ^_^ Went to Bournemouth for the first few days to stay with Antony... about 10 of us went and it was sooo much fun! Me and Ling went on the train and the other guys went by van and we met them there. Although we managed to beat them which was more than a bit confusing especially since we had to catch a replacement bus service for quite a bit of the journey! We had so much fun when there though; we went laserquesting, played a LOT of DDR, ate cheese fondue, stood by the beach in the cold and wind, got attacked by flying sand, drank they YUMMMIEST milkshakes in the world (I had one that was forera roche, kinder bueno and flake, then one that was bounty, smarties and dime bar .... all blended together with icecream. Soooo good!) Can't exactly remember what else we got up to, but it was amazingly fun and his house is soooo cool! It's huge and old and I want to live there! Hmmm.... then we came back to London and the revising started. Spent a few days working in the library, then that weekend I went home! That was really nice; saw my family and most of my friends. We went on a night out to shout and danced like idiots for a while, but then the music got bad so we left and went home. I think that’s all I really did at home, as I wasn't there for long.... Came back to London and started revising again, but this time at my house! Ling joined me for a few days, and we ended up watching nearly 2 full series of friends in 2 days! So not revising very hard..... I pretty much then spent the rest of the holiday revising (well, like before my version of "revising" is "watching TV while writing up notes but paying to attention to what I'm doing!") ... Sarah arrived back from Spain and we sat bashing revision out between us ... went to the park to do it and that was really nice! Hmm... then exams! And now we are back to the present! When I really should be getting ready to go into uni................... Byebye all! K-li xxx

Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Woooooooooooooo long awaited update!!! Sorry it took me so long... but yeah... read on!!! A lot has happened since my last post, but my mind seems to have gone blank so I can't think of what to write. If any of you can think of anything that I need to add just let me know and I will add it! I will reformat this post later.... at the moment I'm on Alex's laptop and I can't see the colour etc buttons..... very odd.......... MAKEOVER So yeah, me and Sarah went for a makeover and photoshoot. It was soooo much fun and we were treated like proper fancy rich people... we got pamperedaooo much. Cocktails, facial, hand and face massage, makeup, hair styling, photoshoot with own scary (most likely lesbian) photographer. It's a tough job been a girl! Haha. It was really nice and fun, but the problem arose when we saw our photos. They were NICE but the prices really, really weren't. Luckily we managed to talk them into giving us a student deal, but it was still a hell of a lot more than I would like to have paid........ and could afford really. Luckily though my mum has agreed to pay for them! Which reminds me, I need to remind her about that... EXAMS Yeah, so, we had exams. I hate exams. Not much more to say on that front! I have no idea when results are due and to be perfectly honest the longer the wait the better in my opinion. ANIMESOC We had the AGM for next years Animesoc committee last week, and I am next years president!!! Woooo go me ^_^ Alex, Greta, Ant and JP are also on the comittee..... so next year should really be awesome ^_^ Yeah, so I'm sleepy now so think I'm going to shut up. Until next time~ K xxxxx

Whale watching   You will all probably know about the Whale that was in the Thames, and if you don't then go look on the news! I have put 2 of the pictures I took here --> Anyway I went down to see the whale, and ended up following it from Battersea park --> Past Battersea bridge and back again (Okay that's not far but it was a slow moving whale!) ... Then I ended up standing on the bank of the Thames (and got my shoes covered in wierd gunk.... they are gonna be washed very very well when I get around to it!) ... I was there until the tide started to come in, and they kicked us off the bank but I couldn't get anywhere where I could see so went home as I was cold..... and I've had my mum updating me with texts all day! It was amazing to see, but at the same time so sad as it was in such distress and so lost; the saddest thing of all is that it died when they were taking it back to the sea! I think that the sadness outweighed the amazingness though... people are hailing this as a big thing we are lucky to see (i.e. whale in the Thames), but I think it's really sad and it would have been so much better if the poor thing hadn't come up here and then died! One thing I noticed though is how thinks like this bring people together; Londoners just don't talk to people they don't know. Full stop. Yet out there today people were just talking to each other regardless of if they knew each other. Although there are some people I heard talking who I wouldn't have liked to talk to; there were a group of teenagers and one girl was talking really loud and saying "They should just kill it..... throw someone in as bait!" it shocked me and Liyang (who was there with me at that point) ... how can people be so cruel and say things like that?! Grrrr... there are some evil people in the world..... Anyways, back to revision.............. Love ya all, K

Happy new year Another year has passed, so I've been doing a lot of reflecting. My situation now and at this time last year couldn't be more different... I've lost a couple of friends (just through losing contact with each other) but I have made a hell of a lot more new ones! At this time last year I didn't even know Alex, Adam, Keat, Flo, Greta, Ling, Dustin and the other new anime soc people... I didn't even know Sarah, Hanna, Colin; I wasn't good friends with Yihlyn, Nick, Sadegh.... How life has changed!? Last year I started the year involved; this year I'm single (naww T_T) ... um ... lived in halls last year, in a house this year... um ... err... last new years eve was the worst I had ever had *trauma* but this year I didn't do anything which was sooo much better ^_^ Although I accidentally celebrated it twice as my clock was wrong ^^;; So I looked at the time and went "woo new year" very unenthusiastically... then my mum came downstairs a bit later and pointed out that my clock was an hour fast, so again I got to go "woo new year!" Here is a shout out to Dustin; I'm going to miss you.... you were a great lil' American guy and it's such a shame that you won't me around anymore! You were my fave American :cry: and such a great dancer ^_- Come back and visit us soon! This is kind of stolen from Yihlyn's blog.... My 2005 summary; ^____________^ Best times: All the new friends I made, Animesoc socials, Nights out Worst times: Men (¬_¬), Evil roommate, The whole thing surrounding the prank calls, Dustin leaving :cry: Worst months: January-June, September-October (Wow crappy year O.o) Best months: July, December (Wooo Birthday!) Anyway, christmas was good this year; it was lovely being at home again and I wish I didn't have to come back to London so soon. But ah well, I'm going to try and get some work done. New Layout Got bored of the old one... and this one has 2 meanings. Can't take credit though; I got it from Aethereality, an amazing site with some beautiful layouts! You should all check it out! Anyway so yeah... meanings; First: It's got a winter feel about it, so it fits with the season. ^_^ Second: It features the same image as my first ever layout..... and since my blog is nearly a year old I though it would be quite sweet to have something that links wayyy back!

Woooot No your eyes are not deceiving you ... I am updating my blog with a proper post! Woo~ These last few weeks have been totally hectic; uni is totally crazy and I have had so much work it's unbeliveable. But that's a really boring subject, so I shall avoid it. Hm.... not too sure what to talk about. A lot has happened, but nothing overly exciting. Oh but I got a hamster! His name is Harry and he is sooooooo adorable. Last night he was sat on Sarah's knee, and she was eating flapjack but he decided he wanted the flapjack. So walked up to her hand and took it, pouched it, walked around a bit, then de-pouched it all over her jumper. Lovely. It was JPs birthday on Monday, so a group of us went to Pizza Hutt which was great fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and Adele went to Oxford for the weekend for Holly's birthday; that was so much fun. We went iceskating, and it was an ice-disco ... wooooooooo ^_^ I love iceskating soooo much. I need to find a close and cheap icerink........ hmmmmmmmmm...... I will hunt one day! I haven't watched much anime lately so I'm feeling a bit deprived.... *sniff* ... might have to try and catch up soon. I wanna finish FMA and pretear *stamps foot* Righto.... I can't think of much else to say... *wanders off* Love you all ^_^ I will try and update here more often! ~K~ xxx p.s. Rant...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Some people are total ARSEHOLES! I will write a proper post eventually, but this all needs to be said. Last night on the way back from an AnimeSoc outing to Wagamamas, me and Smithers were sat on the bus happily chattering away about anime, when this guy infront of us turned around and said "I'm sorry.... can I give you a bit of advice? Go and read a good book." We were both kind of stunned, and it took a while for my brain to process what he has said, and when it did I was like "Excuse me?" and he said "There is loads of classic literature out there... go read it instead of focusing on some things some guys made with a computer. If you like war zones so much go join the army!" We were so confused and taken aback (we hadn't been talking about anything to do with war and fighting.... so god knows where that came from). Unfortunately I was exhausted so didn't fight back properly, but I told him that it was none of his business what we spoke about or were interested in, and he shouldn't be butting into our conversation, to which he replied that he "Wasn't listening in but could hear what we were saying" ... THATS CALLED LISTENING IN!!!! ... then he said something like "I don't mean to offend you but you seem like intelligent people.... why are you wasting your time with that?" ... so I argued back that we do read "good literature" but that it's none of his business (I said that quite a lot) ... then I told him (quite sarcastically) that he didn't have to worry as we would be getting off the bus in a few stops. He replied quite snidely "Well I am too, thank god" then turned away. Me and Smithers looked at each other with raised eyebrows, then I started talking quite loudly about anime again. It was just so rude! I can think of so much I should have said to him, but didn't as I was exhausted... I should have told him that we were probably cleverer than him anyway, I study literature so have read my fair share of books, that he was rude and obnoqious and obviously has nothing better to do in his life than to start insulting random people on the bus! And he blatanly didn't know what we were talking about, yet still felt that he had the right to turn around and tell us how to go live our lives and what to be interested in! ARSEHOLE ARSEHOLE ARSEHOLE ARSEHOLE! Normal people do NOT do that! If you are on the bus and happen to hear people talking about something which you think is "sad" or "strange" you do NOT turn around and start preeching to them about things!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR *goes off to do coursework*
